Class Descriptions - Listed from Least to Most Active

If you are new to yoga we advise that you start with some of the classes towards the top of this list for example our gentle or beginner classes, and move on to the more advanced classes as you learn the yoga basics and build a strong foundation.

Restorative Yoga

The beautiful practice of Restorative Yoga utilizes many props as it gently releases tension from sore, aching muscles.  It is great for practitioners with minor discomforts and brings on deep relaxation.

Gentle Yoga

Minimal props are used in our Gentle Yoga class.  Most of the class is spent in seated or supine postures, with the aim of gently guiding our bodies through muscle lengthening and relaxation. 

Yin Yoga

This is a mindful and slow class designed to benefit the body’s joints by loosening and stretching the muscles and stimulating circulation.  Yin poses are generally held for 3-5 minutes, allowing the body to release tension and stress and then relax.

Chakra Yin

This is a Yin Yoga class that focuses on both physical and emotional healing.  In this class we will explore and stimulate the 7 major chakra centres in the body allowing you to become aware of the energy that flows through.  This class works on the chakras as well as major stress centres in the body including leg, hips, spine and shoulders. This holistic approach will leave you feeling physically and emotionally balanced.

Stretch & Release

This perfectly paced class focuses on stretching all areas of the body while releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles.  Myofascial Release (MFR) is a key component, using props and tennis balls to target tense muscles.  This class is great for beginners, runners, athletes and anyone in need of a good stretch!

Beginner Yoga

Foundation, Alignment and Fun are the main ingredients in our Beginner Yoga Class!  We focus on the basic root poses of Hatha Yoga, while incorporating playful elements and tension release.  This class is quite gentle, moderately paced, and great for all fitness levels.

Flow to Slow

This is a 45 minute class. The first 30 minutes is an all-levels Vinyasa Flow winding down into 15 minute of complete relaxation.

Relaxation will vary from evening to evening. A combination of guided relaxation, meditation and mindfulness techniques.

All-Levels Flow

This class is the perfect step between Beginner Yoga and Vinyasa Flow.

It is designed for all fitness levels with lots of modifications and options to suit your current yoga practice.  Come out and give it a try!

Yogalates

Yoga & Pilates Fusion! A total body workout focused on toning the glutes, thighs and stomach. Develop your core strength and stabilization, as well as improve flexibility! Perfectly coupled with breathing and relaxation for maximum mind/body benefit.

Vinyasa Flow

Get ready to use your knowledge of the foundational poses learned in Beginner Yoga.  We add variations and modifications and infuse new and exciting poses to maximize your physical and mental benefit in each class!  This is an athletic class, designed for those yogi's looking for a work-out. 

Power Yoga

 An alignment based slow flow that will generate heat and build strength and flexibility.  This is designed for those yogi's looking to strengthen and tone muscles. This class will build up to a strong challenge and will end with a SWEET release into total relaxation.  

Fit & Firm

This class starts by gently warming the muscles, leading into 20 minutes of toning and strengthening, followed by 30 minutes of yoga stretching, and finishing with a full relaxation.  Fit & Firm is suitable for all fitness levels and is work-at-your-own pace!
